History

Our History

Hardin’s Grocery & Meat Market was opened in 1961, by the daughter of a local German Butcher. Mrs. Hardin seasoned steaks and pork chops for customers, upon request. In 1991, the daughter of another Southern Butcher, Martha purchased Hardin’s Grocery. Martha made the final changes to Hardin’s Seasoning, based on what she had learned from 3 generations of butchers, including Mrs. Hardin’s input at the time. They finalized what is enjoyed today as Hardin’s Seasoning. Hardin’s closed late 2011 and the rights for their seasoning were purchased by a local Montgomery, AL businessman to carry on the distinct treasured flavor that is known across the Southeast and the US Military.

Hardin's Today

Hardin’s was re-released to the public in 2015, after building a bottling facility in Montgomery, AL. Martha, the original inventor of this unique flavor, recently joined forces with Hardin’s Seasoning, LLC again to assist in launching additional flavors, sauces and batters for meat, poultry and vegetables.
